Our hotel overlooks the enchanting Lake Como, with its timeless allure, and is located in the main square of the city, at the entrance to the historic centre. It is very convenient, and the perfect place from which to set off on a splendid boat trip, or to stroll through the shops and discover the history of Como, amidst the palaces built by great architects such as Giuseppe Terragni, as well as beautiful churches and the fascinating city walls.

A PASSION FOR HOSPITALITY SINCE 1892

Run by the Cassani family for four generations, the Hotel Metropole Suisse was born out of a great love, that of Michele and Giuseppina, and is a symbol of family tradition and experience in the tourist industry that has been handed down over time.

Today, more than ever, we are proud to be a touchstone in the tourist hospitality scene in Como, and we want our guests to enjoy an unforgettable stay here, journeying through Como’s past and present.

The hotel also plays a small but significant part in the history of architecture. The façade that we see today is, in fact, as far as the first two floors are concerned, the work of a renovation project carried out in 1927 by architect Giuseppe Terragni, who is commemorated with a plaque placed on the building in 2004, on the centenary of his birth.

Most of the 70 rooms have been recently refurbished to offer you even more comfort and quality.

Here you will find a warm atmosphere and staff ready to meet your every need, as well as to help you organise your stay, including excursions by boat, funicular railway, or car, hiking or walks around the lake, reservations for restaurants, exhibitions or local events.

Reserve a parking space in our garage.
Spaces are limited, so we suggest that you make a request at the time of booking.
